Drill in Bush's ass.

How disgusting to see this failure of a President touting lunatic and
ineffective oil drilling programs.
A real leader would rally the country to make alternative fuel sources
a cost-effective reality.

Yea but Bush is not a real leader.. He is an idiot chimp dressed up in a
$3000 suit and tie.

Bush has never been a real leader. He is sock puppet. A moron and
embarrassment to every American citizen. Thanks for giving me the
opportunity to vent!

I'd say he is.
He finished last at Pocono,
and still is leading the point chase.
And it's Busch, not Bush.

I assume you were talking racing, where you posted to a
NASCAR racing group...

I didn't start the thread and I hate cross posting.. I say President Bush
is a moron .

Where as Kurt (sp ?)Busch rocks .. NASCAR Rocks. I had the only signed
hat of Dale Sr.'s Sonoma Road Win. Signed it as he got on his Jet at Knoss
Field.. A GF worked there and he took it off his head.. Signed it and gave
it to her.. Took a picture in front of his jet with her and the hat too.
His wife is in the picture too.with the pilot . But she lost it. I think
someone stole it.. What a lame deal. eh?

Re: Drill in Bush's ass.

IMO an energy policy should include immediate drilling as well as
alternative development and also development in the shale areas. Simply
putting a policy like this into place would cause crude prices to drop
immediately. If we depend solely on alternative development we will still
be dependent on foreign resources a decade from now.

Regardless of which approach we take, let me suggest that we will be
dependent on foriegn sources of oil for a long time. This country does not
have enough oil to make up the differeence (even if you exploit and use all
the oil we do have that has not been recovered).

Re: Drill in Bush's ass.

Maybe not enough to make up the difference with conventional oil. But, we
have more than the Saudis if we develop unconventional sources i.e. coal to
diesel and/or the shale areas. The conventional oil areas need to be
quickly tapped even though there might not be enough to satisfy ALL our
energy needs. This can be tapped relatively quickly and that alone should
bring down crude prices. In the meantime alternatives could be being
developed along with unconventional oil and nuclear.

Re: Drill in Bush's ass.

who's going to pay for it ?

the oil companies already have offshore leases on 68,000
square miles that they have done nothing with not to mention
even larger land leases,

they have no intention of drilling for oil while they are making more money
by doing nothing but
paying republicans to run the price up with their idiotic policies and
actions

Re: Drill in Bush's ass.

If the companies aren't going to drill anyway, why worry about opening up
the areas for drilling? It takes years to develop new discoveries.
However, oil companies have begged for these areas to be opened for drilling
for years. Had this happened, we would not be as hugely dependent on
foreign oil as of today. Since the development time is so long, even if
these areas are now opened, we will be dependent on foreign oil for years.
An energy plan is so far overdue it's pathetic. If drilling is not at least
part of the answer, what is the answer? Let's plan on worldwide expansion
and lay out an intelligent plan. I think we will find that solar, wind, and
conservation will not satisfy future energy requirements without wrecking
the economy. Just the fact that we have long prevented use of our own
resources (oil, coal, nat gas) has already put the economy in turmoil.

right, and they're going to spedn billions drilling for more oil that they
will sell for less
than they're making now, jsut like they're drilling on those millions of
acres of leases
they already own,

they made suire it wouldn;t happen, if they wanted cheaper oil they would
have developed the

we have always been dependant on foreign oil, but always had leadership that
kept the monopolies
from raping us, now we have an OIL administration

the answer is an end to the middle east clusterfuck, import tariffs, a
balanced budget,
and a leader who know how to talk to other leaders

that's because using these would have dropped the price and profits for the
corporations, why drill for oil that
will drop the price to $25 a barrel when it's selling for $140, and you're
not wasting any money making
outrageous profits

Do you know why they have not made use of these leases? Maybe becuase where
the leases are, there is not enough oil to make it worth their while? Do
you for a second believel that if the oil companies thought there was a ton
of oil where the leases are they would not be drilling wells in that area?
