Yeah, I get them. But let's suppose for a minute. Back when the
Pocono race started around noon, I left home at about 6AM, got there
around 7:30 and had 5 hours to kill before the race started. The race
would be over by 4:00 and if everything went right, I could be home by
7 or 7:30.
What time did the last one start, 2:30 or 3:00? That's 7 hours after
I would have been there. And if it's still like it was then, leaving
an hour later puts you in 2 hours more traffic. So your choice is to
either get there 7 hours before race time or sit in 4 hours of traffic
to go 50 miles. Then it wasn't over till around 6:30. It would have
been 10:00 or later by the time my day was over.
The people that actually show up at the races should be first
priority. Do everything you can to make it easier for them to be
there. Not the ones 3 time zones away who could record it.
