I'm just wondering about Gordo lately but a little birdy told me something.
The 24 team is in a test mode all this year and in no hurry to run away with
anything significant like last year. The only thing that matters is being
in the top 12 when the real Chase begins. After all why be so far ahead
that you have to give it all up! ;-)

Still it would be nice to see a win now and then.

If they're in test mode they need to start trying some different tests.
Everything they've done to date this year has resulted in cars that are junk
off the trailer and junk during the race. Time for some new tests.

I won't argue with that thinking however even as bad as he's seemed he's
still 6th in points. Would you rather give up 350 points when the chase
begins or gain 350? ;-)

Sorry - I don't understand your question. What you'd really want to do is
get some wins in during the season, to gain the bonus points at the start of
the Chase.

Indeed. I thought JJ demonstrated that strategy nicely last season, just as
Shrub is doing the same this season.

I agree. I wonder about JG's comments before the race that his car
was very fast, "spectacular," in fact. And then it was junk. Were
the temps at the track that much different between practice/Q and the
race?

Earl, I didn't see Ella Sofia or Ingrid this weekend in the TV views -
did you? I'm sure they were there, being as how I think JG's vineyard
is in the area, and it's California and all - but I didn't see them
pre-race or post-race.

It was Ella Sofia's birthday weekend - ;-)

distraction heehee.. I didnt see the kid or the wife ..but I cant
imagine they wouldnt come .. to see the winery and the race.

Oh BTW Ron Fellows found out that his wife is Expecting
and so what did he do ? Ran off the track of course finished
way up the track. Ah well back to the grind.

Gorrdo was very good last 1/3 of the race. Did get a huge
break at the end .. otherwise he is a top 10 or so. Ooops
