Predictions 09 and beyond

NAPA moves on from MWR, MWR begins crumbling and folds in '10.

David Ruitiman(spelling) moves on.

DEI continues downslide, DEJ gains majority ownership in DEI, gets a
broken DEI to rebuild.

Budweiser drops KK after '08 because KK has image problems. I can't
picture KK with a Budweiser.

Kenny Schrader retires.

Mark Martin retires for good.

Big shake up in NASCAR at the Helton level or those types.

Drivers/Teams pressure NASCAR for change.

Snowball effect of racial lawsuit surfaces, NASCAR has more image
problems, more lawsuits.

As much as it seems unreasonable, drivers push to organize.

Fans begin to watch more local race events, dirt, etc... NASCAR Cup
and Nationwider Series become more expensive.

As as much as I hate to say, some driver will be seriously injured.

Re: Predictions 09 and beyond

1. Nascar shows some races only on pay per view.
2. Robby Gordon still doesn't have a full time sponsor.
3. Wood Brothers close shop
4 Dale Earnhardt Jr finally comes out of the closet. You still never see
him with a woman.

Fair enough. My predictions are:

1) NASCAR does not go to pay per view.
2) I agree - Robby will go without a full time sponsor, but that was is kind
of easy to bet on
3) I agree - Wood Brothers close up - again - real easy to bet on
4) Junior coming out of the closet - that would create a major social
upheaval - think of all of those rednecks that would have to suddenly start
embracing queers...

#1 I agree with, but it will be something like the all-star race or Bud
shoot-out only at first.
#2 is probably right, but he is low buget and can get by with secondary
sponsors or race-by-race deals.
#3 Wood Brothers won't close. They'll sell.
#4 Jr is the gay. Look at the cutties he has around: Keselowski driving his
car, Landon Cassill; Denny Hamlin stayed in Jr's trailer before he got his
break, etc...

Re: Predictions 09 and beyond

Joey Logano replaced at Gibbs in 2012 by someone who isn't born yet.

NASCAR becomes NATSCAR. (Natl Assn for Toyota Stock Car Auto
Racing). Big Three becomes Big Zero. Hyundai and Tata and ten
Chinese marques come in later.

Kimi Räikkönen comes over to Hendrick's because he is on record as
saying F1 is boring. He'll be in for a shock. and Lewis Hamilton
comes over, too just to piss him off.

agree

disagree, he did good yesterday in NW

agree, I feel they will die a slow death, which is a crying shame and
I feel DE Sr. was the greatest driver I've every watched drive

Wow! What an amazing prediction. In a way I hope it has a chance

slightly agree

IMHO these two need to go

Another wow. doubt it highly

Wouldn't that be nice...but they are drivers and generally know very
little about marketing, the name of the game

sadly I have to agree here. I feel that the old boy network will be
shooting itself in the foot for a while here

mildly disagree here. If the Top has a wholesale change and they hit
the timing just right then maybe

this would be nice, but I doubt it

NASCAR Cup

and the sun will rise tomorrow, not much of a prediction

I sincerely hope this one is wrong, but admit it is entirely possible

All in all a very impressive list of predictions, with a few
absolutely excellent zingers, ya done good.
