Sometimes I think TNT thinks poeple don't know the diff -- that's why
the stretch the crud out of some of their shows.

They still have their underpowered audio problem, when compared with
nearly every other DTV channel. I don't know what that relates to.
It's supremely annoying.

The Encore and Starz channels are the same way. You have to remember
to turn the volume down on those before changing channels or you get
woken up in a hurry.

Perhaps this is a question for H.Hamrick but:
does DirecTV control when commercials are shown, be it live or taped
programming? It seems to me it's too coincidental that when i push
'previous channel' on my remote, that it too is at commercial
at the same time!?? Anyone??

I ain't Harrell (sp?), but...DirecTV (and Dish/Cable outfits) simply deliver
content from the various networks. The nets sell and position ad time.
Much of the 'regularly scheduled programming' seems to be paced with ad
breaks on similar patterns amongst the nets...not so much so for sports. Of
course, dish/cable lineups can and do have some/many channels to promote and
demonstrate their service.

I think it is just a huge conspiracy among the networks, since I agree
with Cru. Every time I flip to another channel that I am monitoring -
DUE to a commercial - it seems I land on YET ANOTHER commercial on the
alternate channel. lol Dang conspiracy I tell ya.

This is why I liked having 2 replay buffers on 2 tuners in the old DTV
system. I could PAUSE, RWD and FF on 2 separate channels and
literally, almost, watch 2 shows at once and not miss very much of
either without having to actually record either or both to the
DVR/hard drive. I don't watch *that* much TV, but it seems that shows
I do like always seem to overlap time slots and networks - certainly
on certain Sunday evenings when there is tape-delayed NHRA coverage on
ESPN2 and late-race or post-race coverage on a Big 3 network or Speed
or even HotPass...
