I'm not so sure they went back on their word.... IIRC, they were going
to allow drivers to *speak* their minds, but said they were going to
be less tolerant of on track incidents. JPM was discussing an on
track incident that he was admitting to engaging in. So, although his
honesty is refreshing, he was technically admitting to participating
in an action that NASCAR has never said they would condone.
