Sterling Marlin possible Formula One Coach?

International motorsport legend and 2-time Daytona 500 winner Sterling
Marlin has been offered a position with a F1 team as a "team coach".
Sources say that Marlin is mulling the offer. The concept of a "team
coach" has been bounced around the Formula 1 paddocks for several
years now but drivers have been hesitant to agree with the idea. One
unidentified F1 official was quoted as saying "With Marlins vast
background it makes no sense to have him sitting at home each weekend.
These F1 teams really need to take a long look at what Sterling can
bring to the table."

"Vast background?" "Legend?" Uh, sure. He's so in demand, that's
why he took a lesser ride in a Cup race not too long ago.

N.

It is apparent you have no clue as to the respect Marlin has in
European motorsport and most especilly in F1 . NASCAR's loss is F1's
gain.....

Wonder if Sterling might be being sought out to coach another American
driver.
