Toyota is here to stay

Toyota through this point of the season has made it clear to the Big 3
there is a new dominant force on the block. I think Toyota has made
it clear they are kicking ass and taking no names.

They are kicking ass in the showrooms. Why not the race track too?

Rah, rah, and all that. Does it not seem at all odd to you that last year
Toyota sucked wind and all of a sudden this year Toyota is kicking butt?
After only what - a couple months of off season, they come out of the chute
a whole different racing organization. Meanwhile, Ford, Chevy and (until
Kahne made a couple of good showings...), Dodge pretty much suck wind by
comparison. Granted, a lot can be attributed to things like Kyle Busch's
drive to win, but Toys are doing way too good this year.

Aside from the Gibbs cars, which Toyotas are kicking butt?

My guess is that the Gibbs cars would be up front as Toyotas,
Chevies, Fords, Dodges, or Hudsons.

Doesn't seem odd at all. One yr of growing pains, then added JGR
racing, an established organization, with 3 very good drivers to the
mix...sounds like a recipe for success to me.

By comparison, Toyota in the CTS had 3 wins in their first yr in '04,
8 in '05, 11 in '06,10 in '07 and have won 5 out of 12 this yr.

Here's why that does seem odd to me:

The one year of growing pains was with some marginal teams. More learned
about what was wrong there than what they had done that worked. That's not
a lot of learning. Throw the JGR thing in the mix and it causes even more
questions. While everyone else (to varying degrees) is having trouble
enough figuring out the COT, somehow JGR comes out of the gate with a brand
new car (engine), all figured out and racing strong. After only two months.
Like I said - I do believe some of that owes to the competitiveness of the
drivers at JGR, but it doesn't all settle with that for me.

Yeah, but all of the info learned last yr was given to JGR, so between
TRD and JGR racing they were able to figure out some things and I'm
sure that info was shared with the other Toyota teams. It was at least
shared with Brian Vickers...lol

And, it seemed that MWR already had some things figured out at the
fall Dega race when his cars qualified well and didn't blow up during
the race.

Don't forget, JGR was good in the CoT last yr. They had a couple of
fuel pump problems, and TS had an engine problem on one of the road
courses. (that should have been 3 wins) And TS got punked by JG in
another race that TS should have won. So JGR should of had at least 4
more wins in the CoT last yr between TS and DH.
