That seems likely headed for real grief
(impossible to really keep secret, then real complications).
Just seems better to openly buy, and admit

The article plainly states she wants to sell a "minority"
interest(45-49%?) of the operation. That means she's STILL the
principal owner, so she will continue to run it into the freakin'
ground, just at a slightly slower pace. =)

Earnhardt has enlisted the services of Bear, Stearns and Company to find
a buyer -- or at least a major financial investor -- for Dale Earnhardt,

Seriously, she would have been better off to try and work something out

Dale Jr *was* DEI, and the minute he left, the value dropped like a rock.

No. Hendrick owns all four. The other "owners" are just a paper shuffle so
that all four cars can be on the Winner's Circle program. Same deal with
Roush-Fenway, GEM, DEI, Penske, Gibbs, MWR, and RCR
