I'm admittedly not a Kyle Busch fan (and I am a Junior fan) but I
don't see either of them winning it. Kyle Busch has the better shot
though.
Don't get me wrong, I believe they both have the talent and (probably)
more importantly the equipment to do it, but each has their downfall.
Junior seems to peak too early in a race... and if he gets a car that
goes loose or starts handling awkwardly he seems to shut down. He's
not a very good "clutch performer" for lack of a better term. Late in
the race, he isn't what his father was... he's afraid to get rough and
fight for a win. He seems to settle for 2nd or 3rd instead of
fighting for 1st. This I believe is a good trait for him to have, but
can also cost him because he seems to give up positions late in the
race. Richmond this year seemed to change that a bit, but I think he
took it too far and got himself into a wreck.
Kyle Busch seems to either win or wreck. There isn't much in between
for him which I believe is both his greatest asset and his greatest
downfall.
So I think one of them can and possibly will win it, but when I look
at either one of them individually I can see reasons why I think that
they won't win it this year. However, like I said my money would be
on Shrub but my wish would be for Junior to win it.
