What is lucky about a fuel strategy race?
Just because it rained doesn't mean that KuB, in clean air, couldn't
have lead the last 23 laps. There were 7 (8 if you count Robby Gordon)
cars between he and the "faster" cars that had to pit for fuel, and
the only one that took tires, was TS, who took 2 and came out in 14th
place.
Hell, Robby Gordon had fresh tires and KuB held him off.
In the 2 laps that were run under green before the final caution the 8
cars that stayed out held their position...so I don't think it's a
stretch to think that KuB could have still won the race under green.
(just my opioion)
