Stremme screwed Junior on last lap

Stremme jumped down, leaving Junior out to dry, so he could follow
Stewart to a second place finish. NASCAR is much better when drivers
try to WIN rather than race for second, third, etc.

Junior screwed himself by making his move too early. One has to time
it so that the inertia of the pass is all you need to win. Depending
on someone else to push you is not realistic.

No push, no pass 9 times out of 10...

Choosing the right line is an important skill at the
plate tracks.

Stremme needed to pass both Jr. and TS to get the win.

He had to follow one of them past the other.

If winning is the only thing, then the only person
you can be angry at is TS for beating Jr. None of
the other FOUR people who beat him to the line count.

But if you care about Junior finishing sixth instead
of second, then you can't blame Stremme for trying to
finish second instead of sixth.

There's really only one loser in the race: the guy
bringing up the rear. Everyone else went faster
than somebody and gets some reward for doing so.

I think that Stremme could have followed Junior around Stewart and
then slid past Junior as well. As for where Junior finished, I do not
particularly care. I just want to see good racing, it does not matter
to me WHO is doing the racing.

However, Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon are both from my neck of the
woods, and I prefer either of them to win. These are just three among
my favorite drivers, and that is because they usually provide good
entertainment.

Perhaps.

We won't know in this lifetime if you're right, so
I'll grant you the freedom to think differently
from me. For now, anyway. :o)

Stremme (apparently) judged othewise. He had to
make his decision in a fraction of a second.
Who knows what he was able to "think" about in
that time?

OK.

I like TS a lot. I respect JG, but I don't like him.

I really felt bad when TS hit the wall. I hate
when that happens!

And then getting caught up in the Big One. Finishing
38th when he could have been up front out of the way ...
It doesn't get much worse than that. :o(

True.

Granted. Not a lot. And could be his spotter told him to follow
Stewart.
