KB's Pass

OK, I do not like Kyle Bush, but didn't he pass below the yellow line and
improve his place when he was going for the lead and push JJ up and out.
That is not racing, that is bending the rules. Also, didn't he have his foot
on the roof afterwards, isn't this also a rule violation now. And doesn't
Nascar punish for ANY infraction? Hope he enjoys his fame, because his day
will come, just like Dale Sr. told JG he better enjoy because it doesn't
last long.

I'm not much of a Kyle Busch fan either, but the rule does allow for
the fact that there are times when a driver has a choice between going
below the line and holding his position above the line and causing a
wreck. There is no penalty for going below the line if it is
determined that a driver was forced down there. The TV announcers
said that NA$CAr was reviewing the tape, but never said anything else
about it. I can only assume that since no penalty was issued, the
officials felt that Busch was indeed forced to go below the line.

I don't think it's a violation per se to have a foot on the roof.
However, if your car is too low in post-race inspection, having been
on the roof is not accepted as a valid excuse.

I imagine NA$CAr is pretty much like any other rule enforcement
situation---some things get punished and some things slide depending
on the judgment of the enforcer.

I think there is a rule that they can't stand on the roof anymore -
putting his foot on it isn't the same as standing on it with both feet
and all his weight.
