RPG Richmond I TomS

Well, as much as I dislike Sat night races - they mess up my schedule
- I don't dislike them enough to boycott the RPG, so here goes.

Winner - JPM. Even though he didn't show much in practice, he
qualified 6th.

1. As someone else mentioned, the Hendrick cars just seem to be
missing something this weekend. However, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. manages
to cross the finish in the top 10.

2. Ryan Newman is the second finishing Dodge. Finishing in the top
5.

3. Paul Menard showed some good promise for a while last week. He
keeps it up with a top 10 finish.

4. As much as he wants too, Denny Hamlin doesn't sweep the weekend.
However, he does manage to get in the top i5.

5. I haven't said anything about Robby Gordon for a while, so here
goes. Robby Gordon tries to do too much with too little car and ends
up wrecking himself early, thus guaranteeing himself of a 43rd place
finish.

Segment total to date - +10

Thanks! (((^:
Not my first and won't be my last. On a positive note, I have twice
as many points as I did for the entire first segment last year. (^:

Interesting race. A big one, Hamlin almost winning from the pole and
lots of other stuff.

0 He was doing pretty well, until he kissed the wall early on. Things
just sort of went downhill from there.

0 Moved into the top 10 on lap 58 and stayed in the top 5 or top 10
for a good portion of the race. Was leading the race with 5 to go when
he and Kyle Busch got together fighting for the lead. Ends up 15th.

0 DANG IT!! He was the top finishing Dodge in 6th.

0 Paul was doing ok, but not great, until he tangled with Vickers.
Ended up 31st.

0 That should have been 15 instead of i5 and he might have made it,
except for some less than wise decisions when his right front started
going soft late in the race. Instead, he gets a 2 lap penalty for
stopping ion the track to force a caution and ends up in 24th.

0 I claim a handful of MVP's. He held down 43 early in the race
without wrecking. Then, people started wrecking. He ended up 26th and
most of the cars behind him were bent to some degree.
