RPG - Michigan - McCoy

Gonna get my RPG's in early this week :-)

The Win: let's go out on a bit of a limb this week and pick someone
unusual. I'm going to pick Clint Bowyer for the win.

1 - Best Ford: it's a Ford track, it's a Roush track, the best
Ford will be a Roush Ford (unless they all run out of gas, which
has happened before now). I'm going to guess Greg Biffle as the
best of the Roush guys, mostly because I like him best and I
can't see any real difference between him, Edwards, Kenseth and
Ragan.

2 - Best Dodge: Kahne's had the hot hand recently. I'm going
to predict some of that will rub off, and Elliott Sadler will
be the top Dodge.

3 - Best Toyota: this hasn't been a great track for the Gibbs
guys in recent times, so I'll stay out on a limb and pick
Dave Blaney to pull an upset and be top Toyota.

4 - Best Rookie: this is an easier track than many for the
rookies. Keeping with the theme of unlikely picks, I'll go
with Dario Franchitti to surprise us with a strong run in his
second race back.

5 - story: both the old dudes in feeble cars (Elliott and
Labonte) are in the race this week since it's a rainout. Both
run better than expected and finish outside the bottom 10.

old-style bonus pick (unscored): NASCAR told the drivers to
shut up about the CoT already and just speak happy thoughts.
In a totally unrelated development, for the first time in many
years a driver requires relief during the race due to exhaustion.

Don't recall that we saw Bowyer all day. I had the right brand,
but the wrong driver.

Difference was pit stops, with Biffle's penalty putting him last
amoung the Roush teams.

Good day for Sadler, but still only 2nd, to Kahne (and a bad day
for all the other Dodge teams, it seems).

Man, every time I think Blaney's up for a good day, something
weird happens. I ain't gonna pick him no more.

A Dodge that's not an Evernham Dodge = no luck today.

Half right - Terry Labonte had a passable run in the 45 car.
