RPG - Sonoma - McCoy

Been a might slow week around here. I guess everyone got scared
off when the modbot took a day's vacation :-(

On to the race:

The Win: well, it's bound to happen sometime this year, so I'll
pick Gordon to win. Jeff Gordon, of course, is who I mean...

1) top Ford: none of these guys (*) are exactly road course aces,
so I'll go with Greg Biffle for top Ford, since I like Biffle.

2) top Dodge: Kahne's been fast in quals before without backing it
up in the race. I'll go with the other Gordon, Robby, for top
Dodge.

3) top Toyota: man, it's hard to not go with Tony Stewart, even
tho he's starting in the back of beyond. I'll predict one of those
weird pit stop timing deals will happen, and Stewart will prevail
as the top Toyota.

4) top Rookie: Marcus Ambrose. Not a ROTY contender, but he's
in his first start which is about as rookie as you can get. And
whatever's been wrong with the #21 car, he seems to have outwitted.

5) points: Mad Max finishes at least 5 places ahead of both
the 00 and 55 cars. Waltrip & McDowell race each other to stay
in the T35, Waltrip wins.

John

(* the regular Ford crew, is who I'm referring to)

Somehow ended up with a decent finish in an indecent car, but
not the win.

Mought have been if he'd kept it on the track. Great run by
Gilliland, tho, to hold second for the Ford boys.

Despite getting bounced around a bit, it was JPM for top Dodge.

He sure made a charge at being top Toyota.

Super impressive run for Ambrose, even if he did finish 42nd.
No-one else wearing a yellow stripe ever appeared in the front
end of the field, but Ambrose coulda won. I claim some MVM points.

Nope, looked like something got damaged in that little shunt early
on, and the car was never competitive.

race: 0
segment: 2
