I was the Fuels Officer at Pease from July 1971 until Dec 1972. At
the time, they had KC-135c and had just gotten their FB-111s. We
didn't have a hospital (only a clinic) and used the Portsmouth Naval
Base hospital for any major medical stuff. My daughter was born at
the Naval hospital in Oct 1972, two months before I shipped out for a
year in Korea. We lived in base housing, on White Birch Drive. You
couldn't play a full 18 holes of golf in the spring of after a heavy
rain because the "bottom nine" were so low lying that your drive would
bury itself several inches deep in the middle of the fairway. (((^:
