RPG Daytona II TomS
RPG Daytona II TomS
A Saturday night race with no practice, a bunch of unexpected people
starting in the top-10, Robby Gordon driving an unsponsored car, and
afternoon rain showers to keep the track green. It sure could be an
interesting night.
Winner: Bobby Labonte wins one for the King. It would be neat to see
Ryan Newman sweep Daytona this year, but I don't think it will happen.
1. Paul Menard doesn't win it, but he will go home with a top-10.
2. Boris Said keeps all four fenders on it and scores a top 10.
3. Ryan Newman gets stuck in the second pack and can't get unstuck.
He finishes outside the top 20.
4. Patrick Carpentier is the top finishing rookie.
5. The big one happens in the second half of the race. At least 10
cars are involved and sis or more will be unable to continue. The
race is red flagged to clean up.
Segment one total - +14
Segment two points going in - +4

Reutimann was 5 laps down, then got them all back on Lucky Dogs, a lot
of bumping and banging in the field, the big one on the last lap. Yep.
It was an interesting race.

+0 Nope. Although 13th isn't a bad finish. It is better than Ryan
finished. Seemed like he was being used for target practice.

how many were involved or how many would have been able to continue.
