Great to see empty seats at Indy

Stock cars belong at Indy as much as Rosanne Barr at an SlimFast convention.

Nice try bringing in Mike Helton to offer excuses.

I'll agree with your subject line, but not with your reason.

I'm glad to see empty seats anywhere because that's the ONLY thing
that's going to convince track owners that they've set their t*cket
prices too dad-gum high. For me anyway, going to a race in person
became more costly than it was worth back in 2001.

I doubt the cost of going to a Cup race in person will ever come back
down to what I'd consider a reasonable level, but it makes me smile to
see overpriced t*ckets go unsold.

Concur...MLB game actually costs more for a family of four.than a trip
to the track..yet with baseball. the baseballs don't explode after ten
pitches! :)

My solution for baseball? We go to minor league games..more fun half the
cost. For racing, until NASCAR goes full time PPV for the major tracks
I'll stick to MRN.
