Find A Partner Forum

Outdoor Eyes was recently mentioned as one of the top websites for
finding Hiking Partners in the new February 2008 issue. A NEW Outdoor
Eyes Forum for "FINDING A PARTNER" has been launched to bring people
together with common interests in outdoor activities: hiking,
snowshoeing, kayaking, backpacking surfing, canoeing, birding,
snowboarding, skiing, expeditions, biking, outdoor photography and
much more. Join in to find friends in your area and create a
community to enjoy the great outdoors.

Thanks.

G'day, Frank

My guess would be that if you were to walk around Melbourne
wearing snowshoes in summer, you probably wouldn't increase
your chances of getting your donger into anything worthwhile :-)

AFIK, no specific law requiring that there actually be any snow
present in order to wear snowshoes. After all, it has been known
to snow in Melbourne in winter. See:

http :// www .abc,net .au/melbourne/stories/s1436534.htm

However, as most intelligent people believe that we are
undergoing a period of drastic climatic change, if anyone asks
you could always explain that you like to be prepared for any
eventuality.:-)

Could Melbourne be hit by unprecedented blizzard tomorrow? Of
course, even in science and statistics, nothing is really
"impossible", although it would be extremely unlikely.

Is it "possible" that some reader on this group would suffer a
fatal "heart attack" or "stroke" on reading this post? Only
slightly less unlikely.

What is the chance that some reader on this group might
reply to this reply to you? IMHO, this is more likely. Almost
a dead cert, mate, fair bloody dinkum!

No two human beings are actually "identical" even at birth,
and as they grow older psychological factors become more
apparent.

Perhaps an individuals basic personality is formed as early as
five years of age.

This seems reasonably likely to me, as it is pretty difficult for
most people to actually change their own personality, even if
they wanted to, which they probably wouldn't.

If you actually wanted to increase your chances of getting laid,
you might consider moving to Sydney. A less conservative town
than Melbourne, or so I hear. [I actually haven't been there,
although have lived in other mainland state capitals.]

Anyway, I wish you and the rest of the groups a happy holiday
period, whether they be Christians, Muslims, Jewish, of other
religious affiliations. Will even offer good wishes to the
"agnostics" and "atheists".

After all, there should be at least one week a year where all
humans should be able to exist in a state of peace and harmony.

Those of us lucky enough to be in Australia seem to manage it
O.K., generally speaking, anyway.

Cheers,

Yes, Cath, am sure that most readers of this group will realise
that you have a lot of questions. At least as your 38 question
marks would indicate to me, anyway. :-)

No, I didn't bother to count them, a program called Note Tab Pro
does that for me.

I don't really know what the end symbol "/" means to you, but in
English I would define it as a "slash" mark.

Was it intended as a "/" or did you just take a finger off the
"shift" key too quickly? Perhaps it was intended as a 37th "?" :

If it was intended as a "/" or "slash" mark, perhaps you should
use your " insight" to determine if this was the action of your
conscious, subconscious, or unconscious mind.:-)

For further definitions of "/" you could consult
http :// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash_(punctuation)

Readers of these groups who have an interest in psychology or
psychiatry might want to speculate what their interpretation
would
have been had you written:

?????????????????????????????????????? slash
or even
?????????????????????????????????????? slash!

Anyway, Cath, I have no idea of your religion, or lack of same,
so it is difficult to speculate further.

Still, being a Christian myself, I would consider it very
interesting if Jesus would choose Christmas Day for His return.

Then we could expect a final Judgment between the "sheep" and the
"goats".

The Bible, if you have ever bothered to read it, does state that
His return could happen at any time.

Even on "Christmas Day", although this is not generally accepted
at the time of the birth of Christ, but an early adaptation of
the Roman feast of "Saturnalia".

Still, anything is possible, after all. If His return happened
to occur on 25 December, I'm quite certain that all of the human
race would have their questions answered, even your 36 questions.

Anyway, as mentioned earlier in a post, best wishes for a happy
holiday period for members of all Usenet groups, including you.

Christmas day in roughly another eight hours here, six in N.Z.
You and others will have to wait.

Cheers anyway,

Maybe, maybe not. As you snipped the post, I
don't know just what you are referring to.
>

I don't usually bother to snipped posts, Cath. As you should
by now, I see little reason to snip most posts. Perhaps
when they get several pages long with multiple replies at
different levels.

In other words, if following a thread I may start to snip
when the leaders reach

>>>>> or perhaps >>>>>>

Then too, I'm not too motivated to answer insulting
replies, especially when the senders snip my posts.:-)

FWIW unsnipped, some folks found the idea of walking around Melbourne in
snowshoes to be humorous, you seemed to tackle it in your usual straight
ahead ( are you from Kansas or Missouri?) manner not reacting to the
absurdity in the least and thus becoming a bit absurd yourself.

stitches

Howeve, you found it in your heart to then natter on about global

See ya'then.

Sorry for the - implicitly offensive - spoilers, but since you didn't
