Melbourne-Wellington Package Deals?

Can anyone recommend a dealer/agent/whoever for a decent, CHEAP car+flight
package deal from Mel-Wlg? Thanks all.

Car rental is cheap in NZ (newish second hand imports) from companies like
Ace etc (Google search will reveal several cheapies) - so I'd just
concentrate on a cheap trans-Tasman flight. Air NZ flies the route direct;
Qantas as well. Virgin Pacific does it as Melbourne to Brisbane to
Wellington. Prices vary according to demand in the usual way. Air NZ
probably cheaper than Qantas.

As you probably know Auckland is a far more usual entry point to NZ - and
there are more choices flying into Auckland.

As the other poster said, you may find it best to treat the
car hire separately unless there is a special deal.
