Barossa and Kangaroo Island doable in three days?

Barossa and Kangaroo Island doable in three days?

We presently live in Sydney and were thinking of flying into Adelaide
on a Saturday, hopping over to Barossa for some wine (is Grange
Hermitage open?) and then maybe take a quick flight over to Kangaroo
Island on Sunday for the day and then back to Sydney on Monday. Is
this logistically possible. Suggestions?

It's certainly doable. You could also fly around the world in the time
available via New York and London.
Whether you'd want to is another question.

While you can certainly visit the Penfolds winery, I don't think they have
Grange Hermitage (now just called "Grange") available for tasting.

To be honest, I think you would do better to spend the whole weekend at just
one place and then go back for another visit to see the other one rather
than try to squeeze it all into one weekend. There is plenty to do for a
whole weekend (or even longer) at both locations.

I'd say no.
K I is huge and can take over a week to explore .

The Barossa is OK - but why not try McLaren Vale?? - it's nearer to KI and
certainly has some superb wines.

Maxwells, Cheateau Dorian, and Doringa Cellars are
the jewels of the Australin wine fields. IMRHO (the
R stands for rarely) Maxwell makes the finest Meads
in the galaxy!

Wirra Wirra,Coriole and Woodstock are my favourite cellar door to visit.Not
just for the wines but the settings also. :-)
