Then you'll want to wine and dine your favorite LA City councilperson
who has mandated that all the taco trucks have to move every hour on
the hour. With the price of gas going through the stratosphere, it
will likely put a bunch of those guys out of business, but it will
keep the restauranteurs off the City Council's collective butt. (Like
anyone who thought to patronize a restaurant would have his/her mind
changed at the curb in favor of a taco truck, which is what the
restauranteurs claim.)
And if you want to do a nearly daily eyeball rolling at what the girls
and boys of the LA City Council and various committees, etc.
do/mandate/calendar, sign up for notification of their agenda(s) here:

And if you *really* want to make yourself nuts, seek out the gazillion
sub-agencies, sub-commissions, sub-committees, districts,
conservancies, authorities, boards - oh, and that's before we get into
the City's *special* agencies, commissions, committees, districts,
conservancies, authorities and boards that are appointed for some
really, really important function such as the subcommittee that
drafted the snarky resolution re: the taco trucks, because the City
Council has really, really important crap to decide (this is taken
from an actual City Council meeting agenda report):

And unless my math has gone south, that's $189,210 in utter crap that
the City is undertaking as expenses.
And that's just one of the two meetings per week that generate more of
the same. And they're zeroing in on the taco trucks as a hazard to
SoCal??? Jeez, am I glad I live in Orange County.
Oh, wait, we have our own brand of idiots down here!
