yet another restaurant without fried mushrooms

I attended a birthday party tonight. Open bar, (we're too old - erm,
*mature*) to abuse it and we wouldn't due to the driving laws in this
day and age anyway. The food was wonderful and the wait staff was
attentive. Azie is next door to Lulu's (they share the same valet
service).... and apparently they have the same owner.
* sanfrancisco.citysearch . com /profile/menu?id=11364180
Food was served family style and very upscale. One dish, maybe two
(an appetizer and a main), came with bean sprouts that had a killer
dressing. It was spicy/hot and sweet... I need to return so I can
decide what ingredients were in the dressing and I want to eat another
entree too. We sampled three or more... I lost track. Next time will
not be such a whirl wind. LOL

AND...?

So where's the part of your story about fried mushrooms?~?~?

In fact where's the part about ANY food you ate (bean sprouts don't
count as food). I did peruse that menu... gotta say, there's not even
one item interested me, just doesn't read appetizing... sounds like
sci fi... some chi chi Frisco transvestite alien made all that up.
See what they call gourmet in CA... OPC (Over Priced Crap), can you
get crappier-cheaper than a bowl of bean sprouts. Bean sprouts with
doctored bottled dressing is the only memorable thing you ate... gimme
a break. Bean sprouts, oy.

You can't remember anything you ate... I bet you got utterly shit
faced at that open bar. <G>

I said it's worth another visit for me. What you got above is the
most you'll get from me. I'm not being paid to drum up business. I
don't do restaurant reviews. Others here can do that. Either I like
the place or I don't - I go back or I don't. If I like a restaurant,
I post a link. Other posters who are in this vicinity can decide for
themselves if they want to go or not. I put the name out and the rest
is up to them. I'm not stuck in the sticks like you are. I could eat
at a different (good) restaurant 365 here and never repeat one.

This was for the posters (one in particular) who have a hard time
wrapping their minds around the fact that the restaurants I choose
between don't have fried mushrooms on the menu.

Why do you care? You'll never eat there.

<shrug> It was an interesting combo. Asian-French fusion.

If the restaurants you eat at use doctored bottled dressing.... that's
your problem, not mine.

Sure, I remember what I ate.... various appetizers, sliced rare beef,
fish (not salmon), chicken, vegetables. Food was served family style,
so I had some of everything. If the food's good, I'm happy.

Reread the second sentence. <G back at ya> I went to have a good
time and I did.

Looked interesting if a little pricey, but then it was upscale with valet
service etc. The Duck with taro sides looked interesting. Too bad they
added soap weed to the Papaya dish!
