Those corner cabinets ...

... they're awfully deep. And potatoes? They're round. They roll.

Sometimes, one will get away from you. Worst case scenario is you'll
smell them before you find them. Or maybe the worst is when they
start reaching out for you! Help me!!!

The last potatoes in my fridge were some nice
Yukon gold potatoes that I bought because they
looked so good. I had them at the back of
fridge for a long time, when suddenly I had
a need for something where a potato would do,
and I reached blindly behind all the stuff
in front to grab the bag with the potatoes
in them and . . . YAAAH! What's that?!?

Turned out that the potatoes had sprouted
and produced long thick roots, and I wasn't
expecting that when I grabbed them.

Does it count as a scream if there was nobody
there to hear it?

At least you didn't reach into a bag of slush! Don't ask me how I know.

Is there any kitchen smell worse than that lone rotting potato in the
bin? Ugh!
Yours looks like some cartoonish nightmare character ready to grab at
the cat as she walks by...

So funny, cracked me up. I never thought to torment the cat
with it!

How about a car stinker caused by a package of meat that got loose
from the bag inside my trunk, which I did not see when I unloaded the
groceries, but I sureashell smelled a few days later!

Let's just say my efforts at any organization like that tend to be
ignored, then I have potatoes and a basket up there. I'll just
have to risk the occasional runaway. But, damn that was
creepy.
