cottage cheese pie

Hi - I am looking for a recipe for cottage cheese pie, to be served as a
main course at a lunch I am making for a friend's 60th birthday. Does
anyone have a good recipe? No noodles, though.
Thanks.

Re: cottage cheese pie

It's a flexible thing.

Look up a recipe for spinakopita, Greek Spinach and Feta Pie. Use a
regular pie crust. Drain the cottage cheese very well. Use a different
chopped vegetable if you prefer (broccoli, leeks) or lots of herbs to
make it savory.

Alternately, you could make it with honey, nuts or sugar to make it a
dessert offering.

Good luck.

Re: cottage cheese pie

thanks for the suggestions - I am actually looking for something more
old-fashioned, like my grandmother used to make.

Re: cottage cheese pie

it's OK - I made a recipe from Norene Gilletz's Pleasures of Your
Processor - it was yummy.
I definitely wanted it after the salad, before the dessert........,it is a
hot cheese pie served with sour cream and fruit - quite lovely

Are you sure you want it as main course?

Cottage cheese pie was served as a dessert for Pesach in Poland...
