Re: Panasonic NB-G100P-S ( or Krups FBC4-12 )I stopped counting all the "toaster ovens" we've tried over the years.
My experience with them all is that they are OK for making toast,
heating or reheating small pre-cooked items, baking small, flat items
like frozen pizzas, french fries and pastries, and roasting small fresh
items like quartered new potatoes.
They'll do a decent job of baking a large potato or two, if you drive a
heat-conducting spike through the length of the potato first. That's
about it. Anything more ambitious, and you're either going to be
tending the item(s) constantly, or be disappointed, or both.
Having said all that, I'd conclude that the toaster oven is not super-
versatile, but still a very useful appliance to have on the counter,
imo.
