Folding Steak Knives

I love to cook, I love to eat, and I love to buy nice things. I do a
lot of my cooking on a Big Green Egg, I like Global and Shun Japanese
knives. I recently was exposed to folding steak knives. I don't get it,
can somebody explain this one to me? What is the point of owning
folding steak knives?

I don't know, but I've been told, that there's nothing like a great
steak meal, grilled and enjoyed in the great outdoors, followed by a
friendly game of mumbly-peg.

Now you've *got* to have a folding knife for a proper game of mumbly-
peg, so the folding steak knives eliminate the need to pack two kinds of
knives for the cookout and after-dinner fun.

Sound reasonable? Me too.

Well heck, son, what is it that *you* carry in yer pocket for when yer out
and about and just happen to run into a stray steak just sitting around? Ya
gotta be prepared.

Also, if you want to tote real steak knives in your picnic basket, they
better be folded or be in sleeves. Personally, I prefer folding.

Re: Folding Steak Knives

Just wait until you seen the new Swiss Army Steak Knife. You can gut fish,
darn socks, saw trees, pick teeth, tweeze, AND enjoy a nice juicy fillet all
with the same tool.

I'm looking for more advanced wart removal capabilites in a folding
knife. My run-of-the-mill Swiss Army Knife does a decent job, but lacks
real finesse for this task, if you know what I mean. It's kind of a
make-do solution. Does this new model make any claims to better
capabilities in this area? Thanks.

I'm holding out for the '08 model that will skin, bone, and fillet
a whole water buffalo in three easy swipes.
