WeBeJammin'!

Pics are posted to alt.binaries.food.

Lemony Apricot Jam and Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam.

The apricot stuff is frabjous. Ball no/lo-sugar powder pectin with 3
cups of sugar, 1/3 cup lemon juice (fresh), and the microplaned zest of
same stirred in for the last minute of boiling. It's about perfect.
Oh, there are also 6 oz. of chopped dried aps (I thought I was going to
be shy of fresh and turns out I was NOT but I used the dry regardless
because they have better flavor than what I get fresh here.), brought to
boil and soaked a while before draining and mixing with the fresh fruit.

The berry jam came from the flats of berries that Rob and I picked this
morning. Four hours from field to jar. Unfortunately, the S-R Jam only
required one stinkin' pound of berries. What was I thinking?
Especially since I plan to go again on Saturday with DD and the BRG.
