I scored too!

I scored too!

My dad and step-mom are moving from their big home to a high rise condo, and
are getting rid of a lot of their unwanted furniture and stuff. I scored a
larger fridge with freezer on the bottom for my kitchen (moved the one I
already had to the basement for a beer fridge) and an upright freezer. My
old.small chest freezer is being passed on to my brother. Gotta love those
upright freezers!!!

The 'new' fridge had a large Ziplock freezer bag full of wild blueberries
in it, and an even larger bag of raspberries! Woohoo! I also got what
looks like about 4 cases of assorted sized jars.

My daughter and I picked 6 baskets of strawberries on Canada Day, which I
stemmed (sitting down, with an ice cold Sleeman's beside me '-)) and froze
on cookie sheets, then stored in freezer bags for later use. When I find
the time, all I will need to buy is sugar, lids, and pectin, then I'll be
jammin'!!

I promised a strawberry pie for my husband. That'll get done tomorrow, I
think.
