I do agree with you on the textile tweeters over metal ones. I have
heard not heard a whole lot of speakers but the few i have heard are
the metal dome tweeters and to me they just dont sound all that
realistic at high power. But that is just my opinion. What is your
opinion on woofer matieral? The reason i ask is, and i realize that
this is not even close to being a fair comparrison, that i have two
Sony 5x7's with a plastic type woofer ( i wanna say propolyene, but i
could be wrong) and i have a very old Kicker 6.5 (again i realize that
there are two totally different woofer sizes here and one acts
completley different from the other) with a cloth type woofer and i
just love how the Kicker sounds; its nice and punchy and so far has
been able to handle gobs of power. The Sony's seem to just bottom out
and dont reproduce the drums or kick bass very well, i would like to
note that i do have these speakers running in series and the Kicker is
just by itself, so the Sony's are getting (in theory) half as much
power as the Kicker is. And i know Sony is like the plague with you
guys but i was dumb when i was younger and didnt know anything :) I
have thought, on many occasion on just going with 4 5" in. speakers in
the back, or if i could fit them all 4 6.5's
