Not being sure where you have sourced the power from, direct to the
battery is normally best with electronics, the alternator to battery
positive cable could be increased in size. However, continuous high
power operation will be beyond what Chevy had in mind when the ratings
of the electrical system were determined. Also, something overlooked
many times is the system grounding points.
