Sinatra remixes

Hi,

i just got a copy of the new Sinatra compilation CD (all the best), and
wow...they totally remixed some of these songs completely. They even changed
the arrangement of instruments in the stereo spectrum (Summer Wind), and
then removed some reverb from his vocals on other tunes.

Are these from some remastering/mixing sessions that took place in the last
few years? I have the original CDs, and though the mastering sounds better
in general, I'm kinda shocked they were actually "remixed".

anyone know what i'm sayin' here?

it's hard to believe that anybody thought they could be improved... I
thought they were as close to perfect as it gets...

it's weird. i could see just remastering them maybe, but altering the mixes?
very strange. obviously this is nothing he would have authorized. is sonny
burke still alive? he would have had to be the one to give it the ok.

very weird indeed.

And if you see Frank today, wish him a happy birthday.

They just released the Blue-Eyes stamp today, also.
