great fun
great fun
while packing, well, while getting ready to pack, i got thirsty and all
i had was benders. on an empty stomach, i am Mirthful reading phil and
patrick. decided that you might apply your next bender to reading phil
and patrick peefests. er, which is why i can't really pack because i'm
drinking the benders so what we have here is a Situation.
but i have received wisdom made possible yet again by the surly:
usenet is the greatest fun a geezer can have (pants on or off--and i'm
not taking bets on phil and patrick). it's just a bunch of guys pushing
each other's buttons because they can and what else would they do?
the last summer my old man was around, i really noticed that that was
what him and mom did, basically ping each other for fun. funny thing
is, they both knew the game and they both had fun. they were playing
the inner game of outgaming the expectation--and they were in a tight
box by virtue of 40-some years of playing. i envy you guys who've had
big patches of life cotravelled--you get that kind of depth and nuance
in every one of your days.
also caught this daily bugle type news link (the subject piece of
bruce's is short and pretty much decent) in which the first commenter
really just smack-nailed how i feel (and better than i could've said
it). i don't know where you are on that road, but i wonder if you're
not there, too?

okay, so i'm pretty much where you were the other day. and i only got
one layer packed which i now cannot even trust. not to be
today--sorry--but i apparently needed this "weekend extension" to
make-up for shorting myself on saturday so it worked for me.

pps what could be more all-americajn employee than to prepare for an
enormous day by ensuring bloodshot eyes, hair-trigger, and survival of
the fittest brain cells?
