Help with amp tube ID

Reply from: diecasthoop

I found an old amp that has a 6L6 and 5Y3. The other two sockets are
empty. One has the wire that would plug on top of the tube. If any one
knows what model this is I can try and find a schematic. How do I
figure out what tubes to use if I can't find any info? Thanks, Al

I guess the first tube to be a 6J7 pentode. Do your own schematic from
the wiring you can see. It is a good excercise and it might show up a
variation to the published schematic - maybe a better variation!

Note the socket pin numbers on the schematic you make, publish it
here, and we can try to reverse engineer your schematic.
