Hi RATs,

I put up a page for a new amp I built.

** The tiny switches ( and very thin wiring) used for AC power switching
worry me - or have you used them to operate hefty relays ?

The switch on surge of that big Hammond power tranny is in the order of 150
amps peak.

Shame the schematic deletes such details nor shows the DC heater regulators
at all.

No relays and I've done this before without problems. This is the first
time for me to use DC heaters so they're omitted from my schematic.
They're made by Tent Labs in Eindhoven, NL.

terrible - it smacks of the worst sort of amateurism.

Those mini switches are NOT rated or approved for AC mains power
switching, at all.

large enough.

PLUS the 150 amp surge current at switch on in your amp is way beyond the
switches ratings.

Why on earth did you chose them ????????

no-one seems to be building anything at all, and
then, hey-presto, your link to a beautifully crafted
project appears.

You are the second person I know who has used the
Tent labs DC modules. These are something I also
want to try.

When you get around to it, some test figs would
be of interest.

Hello Raymond. FR (at 1W) would be of interest and
THD fig at full power. Also Zout, and noise floor.

An amp is not complete without a test sheet and
a set of performance graphs:-))
