More on Wimmens

So, Cat and I are in my garage yesterday, looking over the replacement
pieces she bought for her Sportster. Against my advice, of course. I told
her to wait on buying new bags and stuff, because, chances are she was going
to drop the bike again. The original bags were barely scuffed, the bike
looked and rode fine. She spent $900.00, she doesn't have.

Anyway, my neighbor pulls up on his XL1200C (which I sold him), with his
wife on the back. She sort of slid off the back and went ass first onto the
ground. We ran out to check if she had a leg cramp or something. She said
she thought she had broken her leg. It seems she was waiting on her Shadow
(that I sold them), in a gas station and somehow dropped the bike into a gas
pump. Her leg got caught between the bike and the concrete slab the pump was
mounted on and she heard a snap. So, Mike rushed her to the hospital and I
went down into Sunland and picked up her bike. Sure enough, she brole her
ankle and is in a temporary cast. She blames herself though, thankfully.

Worse than you can imagine. I did a re-fi on my house to buy the building my
business is in. The escrow company said a wire transfer had been made to my
bank, last Wednesday. My bank said it should post on Thursday. It didn't. I
called the escrow company Thursday and Friday, they said the money was
wired. On Thursday, my bank said that no wire transfer had come in. Friday
they were evacuated because they were right next to the Burbank fire. As of
Monday morning, the wire transfer had still not been made. I again called up
the escrow company and they said that the wire transfer had been "kicked
back" on Wednesday (Thanks!). Actually, I believe the transfer had never
been made, as the conversation with the escrow company was ridiculous. The
transfer was finally made yesterday afternoon. But, not before a $25.000.00
check to our business bank bounced. The officer at our business bank never
puts the mandatory, 7 day hold on our checks, at the risk of her job. This
may have jeopardized our relationship with her.

BUT! Because I had to miss a day's work to sort this mess out, I had a
GREAT ride on the Buell, yesterday. What a fun bike!

Give her time, she'll come to realize it's all your fault.

Cat about 'Stinky' - get it out of the way :-)

Yeah, but you sold her that bike, too? As well as the one she slid off
the back of? I'll notify my lawyer friend to contact those people as I
smell $$.

I'm thinking maybe you knew that if she slid off the back of the
XL1200C, she could fall off; I assume you purposefully did not include
a backrest. As for the Shadow, I assume that you did not warn her of
the gas pump hazard and what could happen.

With your better-half blaming you, everybody else might as well jump
on that train :)-

Your ass is grass when she finds out your'e posting about her on the
interweb!

As for the $900 she doesn't have.....what a role model for consumers
world wide. I don't suppose you mentioned that she might like to buy
some crash bars while she was shopping?

She'd have to buy new crash bars every time she scratched them up.
And that sounds likely to be a weekly event.

We have an extra set of crash bars for her Sportster. I won't put them on.
Hell, I have an extra set of bars for my Road King, both front and rear, I
won't put them on either.

I think it would've been the height of cool is she'd blamed you Thumper. You
could wear a nice new patch reading "I'm to blame for ever-fucking-thing"
