YZ 450f shifting problems

YZ 450f shifting problems

My 06 450f shifts into 1, 2, 3 fine but goes into neutral going to
4th. If I really tug it will go to 4th and fifth. Please help any
suggestions????

Do the gears grind when trying to get up into 4th and 5th?

try preloading the shifter, i.e, putting pressure on the lever before
you pull the clutch in. Once you pull the clutch in, it might snap
into the next gear nice and quick

When was the last time the oil was changed? If it's been a while,
at least do that before you do anything drastic. My dirtbike gets
a bit hard to shift when it's due to an oil change.
