Well, shoot, all they want are pictures of "chopper, cruiser, dirt bike
or scooter"; I guess by Blackbird won't fit in.

I shipped 'em a photo of my daily commuter - my trusty
SV 650 - with a note about them possibly needing to realize
there were a few more categories they might wanna consider...

I'm thinking that my Honda 599 won't fit in either. I'm pretty sure
it's a UJM (with a bunch of Italian parts).

I'm also not really sure what MSNBC is trying to do. My best bike pix
are already on the Internet anyway.

I say get rid of it and get a Vespa. You can store the Blackbird in my
garage until you get someone to buy the thing. ;-)

Years ago, National Lampoon had a contest: "Send us a photo of your
girlfriend naked with a bucket over her head." They got THOUSANDS of
entries. IIRC they printed about 100 photos, several pages filled
with 2" square thumbnails, plus the winners full-page.

So when I see 'Send us a pic. of your . . . ', it makes me wonder what
they're going to do with it!

Exactly. My friend, who has built several Ferrari motorcycles, says
the same thing. His bikes are amazing pieces of work with many
handmade parts, and they're instant crowd pleasers, but if the mags
don't pay, he won't let them take pix.
