More Horse Power !!
Now that i have your attention....
i will take the counter ....
Fixed displacement engines can't get
economy . All the rules state , the engine
must produce high H.P. from a
small displacement .
We need new rules , for efficiency .
Displacement must be very high .
--------------------------------------
The Honda I-VTEC is easily mod'd
into a super efficient 12 H.P. engine .
On freeway , it takes much more H.P.
to maintain 85 MPH .
--------------------------------------------
12 H.P. !!! 80 MPG . !!
I-VTEC cam mechanism delays intake
valve closing another
50 degrees at low speed .
This is opposite of what everyone is
doing for power !
Also , Honda is closing the intake SOONER ,
to get power at low speed !
But as i said , i'm doing opposite to
lower power , but increase effeciency .
Credit here , goes to the Atkison cycle .
( the Miller cycle is BOGUS )
This lower power in the intake and
combustion side , is offset by
an improvement in the "expansion"
side .
Its as if you had 3300cc cylinder
at the moment of combustion/expansion ,
but on the compression+spark side
had a mere 2200cc .
The economy doubles .....
Noise goes down
exhaust gas temp E.G.T.
goes down
Pumping losses go WAY down !
maybe a factor of 3 or 4 !!
Now on to the replacement of CBR954RR.
The new bike has a 2000 cc engine ,
with HUGE pistons and longer stroke .
But using the technology Honda is famous
for , it can easily be done .
But did i mention , no need to spin it
to 8500 RPM ?!!
ha ha ha ha ......................
