2007 outlaw v5

I am hoping to purchase a starter bike and am looking for feedback on
the 2007 outlaw V5 automatic -- not looking for long haul trips - just
short learn to ride without investing great deal of money bike. Any
suggestions?

Like this?

Buy a real bike. For about what they are selling that bike for on
ebay, you could buy a brand new Kawasaki EX250 Ninja. You'll get
most of what you paid for it back when you sell it, unlike the
"Outlaw", which is an unknown quantity, and will be very hard to
find a shop which will work on it, or get parts for it. If you
want to save a little on the initial purchase price, buy a late
model used bike that already has the initial depreciation taken
care of but is still in great shape.

Did you read the auction? It has a built in mp3 player! Can a Ninja 250
beat that?

I've got an ersatz Ipod and a hot glue gun (real) and I know how
to use it...

Gosh. It has 19 (!) horsepower and carries two full-size adults! And
it's a V-5, too! I wonder if that's the 1 & 4 Spagthorpe Shih-Tzu
configuration. Also impressive are the two (not one,) kickstands. And
an _oil change reminder_! D'ya think that might be the new
puddle-under-the-bike system?

A 390 pound "motorcycle" with a motorscooter's 250cc single cylinder
engine/CVT? If anyone in my family thought about getting one I'd have
to beat the crap out of them.

If you want the automatic, get a scooter. Otherwise shifting is easy
to learn, and the Jap 250ccs are extremely reliable. Buy used.

heh, beat? I'd disown them and then publicly
denounce them. Shunning of friends and
aquantinances is a given.

History does not record anywhere at any time a
religion that has any rational basis. Religion is
a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up
to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff,
most people do have a religion and spend time and
money on it and seem to derive considerable
pleasure from fiddling with it.
