I thought of that, but the tree fell away from the hammock. If anyone
had been in it at the time, he'd have been launched pretty
impressively, judging from the tension in the lines when I went to
take it down.

If they can prove God did it, they can sue him.
For some reason I don't seem to be able to find my record of payment
for the last premium. Maybe my agent sneaked in while I was over there
(Not to worry. I'm paid up).
Actually, the damage is much less than it looks. The roof is history,
of course, and a bit of wall will need to be rebuilt, but the tree
(fortunately) got caught in a fork in another tree on the far side of
the cottage. The wiring, gas and plumbing are untouched. I think the
TV cable will have to be reinstalled. The far wall is undamaged. The
tenant and I (very carefully) removed his undamaged computer from
directly under the tree on that side. The doors open and close
smoothly, there aren't even any broken windows -- the glass is intact
even in the one hanging out in space in the photo. An insurance
investigator came by shortly after I left. They wanted to make sure it
didn't look as if somebody had pushed the tree over deliberately or
something...
