GOAT blood

Did anybody else see Ricky crack his chin open on his brake perch doing 35
feet on the high jump the other day? Moto X World Championships before a
nearly empty Qualcom stadium? I haven't found web video yet. Ouch.

The racing was pretty darned fun to watch, too.

FMX "best trick" format has always seemed boring to me compared to a true
freestyle run.

I saw that, he seemed pretty proud of it the way he was showing it off as
he left on the golf cart. I think they should have counted the jump.

I was suprised by how empty the stadium was also. The GF mentioned it
too. Fun to watch stuff, I thought the best thing was the style and speed
race. Hope they continue the event.

Yup - sucks too, being he was the only one to clear 35 feet (~40
actually). Hit the ground like a sack of wet cement. It's fun
watching a rading legend whoop the FMX guys in a FMX event though.
Interesting about this 'Extreme Moto' sport - it's both the target
sport for young punks, and also the dumping ground for old / broken
racers. Funny how all of the old timers were either injured, got
injured, or could barely compete due to old injuries. Definately a
young man's sport.

Yup. I made it through all the qualifiers, then passed out right
before the main. Dammit - 2:00am is WAY later than it used to be.

I really want to see that race.

Also, I couldn't help but notice that the 250Fs were kicking the 450Fs
asses, at least in the heat races.

250F took gold! Slippery track.

that link looks messy. If it doesn't work...
go to expn,com
then look for
MXWC: Step Up Final (02:40)

other cool stuff I missed there under MXWC too

Man, that landing looks painful. More impressive is that mx race on
that crazy track. Reminds me of an arena with gladiators in it with
those poor bike fighting for their lives. I prefer to take my chances
facing lions than having to race on that wicked track. I suspect I'd
live longer being mauled and eaten by a lion.

When is this event on? is it on espn? I definitely gotta catch this.
Especially now that Supercross is getting super boring without Ricky
and Bubba. Hell, any sports with Pastrana and Ricky wins my vote.

You're watching the wrong class. All the fun racing is in the Lights
class.

Very true. I especially enjoyed the battle between Lawrence and
Dungey. Can't wait for the Seattle west final. But yeah, seeing the
likes of Reed and the boring Honda riders going at it again is a
repeat of the super boring 2003 season. Talk about a yawner.

I still have hopes to one day see Bubba, Ricky and Pastrana on a
supercross race. Although it seems that this EXPN thing could be my
best chance of seeing this dream trio come true. Anyone knows when
this will air again? And is it on espn?
