RR-Vid - First Helmetcam Post

Well, it's not remotely in the league of an epic Joe D vid, but I shot this
video this afternoon to break in my new Oregon Scientific ATC2K. Lots of
video degradation between the raw footage and the post on YT, but the first
attempt is up and running. Made a few loops around our 1.5 mile mini HS
course at the house + a quick excursion through the surrounding woods to
practice log crossing maneuvers with mixed results on the mighty KDX. There
is a CTD moment tucked in towards the 2/3rds mark but all safety gear
performed well and the rider resumed unharmed.:-)

It looks like great fun.
Get the boys to clip the face slappers. Better yet, get the scout
troop to come help. They will enjoy the project.

Okay, my first observation, even before the log crossing, was that
you're riding a 2-stroke now (even if it is a KDX)... use that clutch.

Secondly, your biggest video problem (to me, anyway) is the wind
noise. You'll have to expirement like Wellen to find the ideal mic
positioning.

Other than that, you just need more trails in those kewl woods.

I thought it was an excellent first video though and it was nice to
see Warren Mountain. The log crossing spill wasn't NEAR grand enough
to qualify as a CTD moment though, sorry Keith. That's just typical
spodeliness. ;-p

Love the video, the bike and Warren Mountain! Just work on that mic
positioning.

What YouTube and Photobucket do to videos is practically criminal. Try using
Vimeo . com instead if you want to preserve the quality. Your audience will
thank you.
