OT-can anyone load w w w .ups . com ?

I've been trying to get on the ups . com site to track a package for 2
days, and it will not load. Is it just me and OSX being single out?

I'd appreciate it if someone could try to get on the tracking page and
let me know...

10:08 EDT 5/11/08 I logged onto my account and tracked a package
no problem.

Clear your browser cache and make sure you've got your temp
internet file size to at least 500M.

Used to have problems with them all the time.

Tried all of that, the first page loads, enter the tracking #, then
grinds to a halt. Reload won't even work on the home page unless I
clear the cookies.

I just tried it. Works fine. It was down a week ago or so, but I found
you could get to the tracking page by a circuitous route which I've
forgotten.

I'm thinking you can type the tracking number into the search
field at google, or something along those lines, but I know that
doesn't fix the problem, Charles.

Are you having problems with any other Web sites? Could this be a
routing problem?

I suspect it's a java problem, not sure. What do you mean by a routing
problem?

All of my home computers, running OSX, have the same problem.
w w w .ups . com loads the home page, loads the tracking page, and then
times out or displays a page with no images when trying to load the
results of the tracking inquiry. Future attempts to load w w w .ups . com
will likewise fail unless the cache is emptied. Wash rinse repeat.

Never mind. The other OSX use on rmd and I will just slink off,
quietly gnashing our teeth.

A problem with your ISP being able to get to certain sites due to
the way their traffic is routed.

They have lost or totally bumbled your delivery. (backed over it with a
truck).
They have set up a special task force to block all attempts by you to track
the package.

By the time the item arrives it will be a smashed item duct taped back
together with a little oops note.

I sent a prototype power supply to Bulgaria a couple of months
ago via FedEx. It arrived flat. Very flat. What was a 2" thick
housing with PCB inside was 1/2 inch thick with little bits of stuff
inside. Musta been a steamroller.

Luckily it was the only one in the world and cost only
$150k or so.

Nope. Rest of the story ain't been pretty.
At least it wasn't unreplaceable - we had drawings,
gerbers, etc. Just had to do it all again.

I do wish they had a K-Y product for this sort of
problem though.

The delivery was temporarily hijacked by Chinese bike dealers wearing gold
Rolexes and Reeboks with the straps.

Charles,

Are you using Internet Explorer exclusively?

I used to have problems like you describe but since I've moved (99%)
to Firefox those sort of frustrating things don't seem to happen.
