Dang kewl, Keith! Looks like a pretty good sized track too. What
was the temp there today, do you know? Was it about the same temp as
Brushy last year?

The temp was around 86-87 with high humidity....IIRC it was in the mid to
high 90's when we were at Brushy last year. Still pretty hot for around here
when we were seeing low 70's up to last week *and* there is no shade at Nat
Trac unless you are on the trails. The EZ-UP was a lifesaver!

The track is a little shorter ...and a LOT tighter than the one at Brushy
Mtn... covers probably about half the real estate as the other one. Between
the track and trail riding, we put in somewhere ~25 miles yesterday and I'm
feeling it this morning!

Yes, it was upper 90s. The most interesting thing about that, to
me, was watching the guys I thought would be most acclimatized to
that kind of heat - Fred and Arnett - obviously uncomforatble. I
guess the humidity really is difficult to deal with if you're not
use to it.

I can deal with the heat a lot better than the cold as I get
older.

I seem to remember one old fat guy who was taking the heat in stride
pretty well. ( Of course, in Arkansas we are used to plenty of
humidity with our heat.) This week seems to be honest summer time.

We rode our dirtbikes in several places over Memorial Weekend, but
because of the company involved and the need for discretion, cannot
divulge the locations. <vbg> (My (our) trek also included a couple
of worthwhile visits to gentlemen's entertainment establishments.)
It started raining on us as we were driving home from the TrainRobbers
on Memorial Day. Other than that, the whole weekend was a real hoot.

I hear that a light rain is scheduled to cool things off very nicely
for this weekend's TrainRobbers Enduro. Come join us, and say "Hi!"
as you come through my check.

I resent being called "old".

I think it's officially summer now here as well. We seem to
typically get the same weather you do, but a few days behind.

As I mentioned a while ago on the phone, my list of riding
locations is about to expand here shortly. In about 2 or 3 days,
actually.

He said "old fat guy".... IIRC, your missing 33.3% of the
qualifications :-) Even though I resemble the bogey, I was NOT taking
the heat in stride in trail 9C!

Forecast is for 99 with 70% humidity in sunny Sanford, NC today.....I
can't wait to get back to my mountains where it's a mild 84!

Way cool.... I've got to figure out a way to stuff the KDX into the
back seat of a Mazda 3 one of these weeks.

I haven't been doing shit for the past three months. I qualify on
all counts. At least there's a sauna right outside. 9C is easy
stuff compared to some of the stuff he's cut since last summer.
Personally, I'd rather have someone tell me about it.

I make no apologies for hating the humidity with a passion! It was
about 95 here today with 68% humidity. Just ridiculous. Thank God for
that occassional 15 mph breeze.

The 5-day forecast shows nothing below 90-degrees, and I imagine
the humidity will continue to be fun as well. Typical Texas, where you
pray for a simple overcast to keep the sun off you, or for ANY sort of
breeze to cool the sweat on your skin.

Fortunately, it'll all be over in just 4-1/2" short months
<dripping sarcasm>.

I'll never get used to the humidity. I hate it. I'd rather be at
104-degrees in Arizona any day. Hell, I could dig ditches at 104 in
Arizona!

Ideally though, someone here must live where it was about
75-degrees today, sunny, with a light breeze and almost zero humidity.
David Jones, maybe? Perhaps Oldfart or Professor Dowd? Deeney and Wuds
this Friday maybe? I need to move west...

Sorry, dude.

Here's the weather stat's from the wunderground station closest to me
at Lat: N 37 ? 51 ' 38 '' ( 37.861 ? )
Lon: W 122 ? 1 ' 45 '' ( -122.029 ? )

Time: 16:53
Temp: 74.2 ?F / 23.4 ?C
Dew Pt: 39.9 ?F / 4.4 ?C
Bar. Press: 29.58in / 1001.6hPa
Wind: Calm
Wind gust: 6mph / 9.7km/h
Rel. Hum.: 29%

It was a nice day, weatherwise.

I did have a brainstorm yesterday. I realized that if I could learn to
be a masochist, I would LOVE my job.

Which reminded me of this song:

Nice tune ;-) But I don't think I could live in the Bay area. I
gotta be between the Sierra Nevadas/Cascade range and the Rockies I
think. But that weather does sound nice about now.

100% humidity here today. High of 60degF, raining cats and dogs.

This weekend: Mid 70's down low. Sunshine. The rain today will make for
great trails this weekend. Mountains are at a record snow pack. We need
more rain up there to melt out the snow.

Ideally, I'd prefer sunny and mid-50s, but I'll take sunny and
anything from 25 or so to the low 100s. Cloudy is okay if it's 75
or above.

We're getting the same garbage. Heat index for one spot I'm
considering is, get this, 124 for Saturday. And I'm still
thinking about it.
