Re: CHECKOUT THIS AWESOME BIKE HAULING HITCH

I want some of what you are smokin' cuz my stuff does not compare!

Crossdressers welding in drag and heels? huh what...

How the hell did your thoughts put that together? I am TS.. Then there are
TV and then there are drag queens and the list goes on and on...
You really need to update your glory hole guide pamphlet flyer booklet! Your
gay lingo is "off beat".

First...your hitch is only rated at 500lbs, so there is no way anybody
would want to haul any bike over 400 lbs, let alone a full dresser at
900 lbs.

Second....the rocking back and forth will quickly cause a problem
(broken weld/ bolt) where the rail connects to the 2 inch receiver. It
would be much better with 2 receivers. One in the middle and one on
the side.

Third....I built one of these to carry a 200 lb scooter on the rear of
a Chevy Tracker. I even put the 2 additonal receivers. The weight of
the scooter being back 12 inches from the rear caused the front end of
the Tracker to be very very light. I don't know exactly how far back
your unit extends, but if it is more than 12 inches and the bike
weighs more than 250 lbs, I suspect it would do the same with a 1/2
ton pick-up.

Personally, for $450, I'd get a trailer with a rear ramp gate if I
were too lazy to load a bike.

Guys, the price seems high and it definitely needs some refinement.
There are several things I don't like about it and would be deal
breakers for me (aside from the price).

But if you want to haul 1 bike on the back of a Tahoe, Explorer,
Navigator, truck, etc... a hitch hauler is a legitimate option.

2 recievers should not be necessary for any dirt bike... but gussets
where you mentioned might be a good idea.

The first one I built hauled an XR400 on the back of an S-15 Jimmy
with rear mounted spare tire. I had to set the rail back far enough to
clear the tire. No real problems even with the short Jimmy and 270
pound XR.

You'd not even know an XR650 was back there on a full sized truck.

I've got a buddy that tried a YZ426 on the rear of a Jeep... a little
dicey...

I think that is steep too... (but shipping would be pretty expensive.
It probably weighs 70 pounds.)

The bike rack weighs close to 80lbs and is "obviously" very cumbersome so,
shipping it is not cheap. I do thank you for the level headed reply and
helpful comments.

I am not the one building these things, I just help paint them SMILE

Many people do not have the know-how or even want to build something like
this and my posting is only an offer to sell them. It works well for me and
maybe somebody out there might want one.. Who Knows without trying? I just,
did not expect such a flurry of hatred when posting LOL..

WAIT WAIT.. Maybe I did.. I posted on RMD a long time ago selling a KZ450 I
had and I posted a video of me riding a wheelie on it wearing a bikini
something or another and LORD HAVE MERCY.. You should have seen the redneck
flurry posting replies. I was number one thread on the website for a week.
It made me a lot of money from people just browsing my site. Traffic =
Revenue!!! *rubbing greedy hands together*

As far as knowing my bike is on the back of my Blazer, I can not even tell
it is there. I do worry about making sure I have clearance because it is
wider than my Blazer.

Make sure to picture this scenario - someone buys one, and has
an accident on the road. 3 people are maimed for life. Two trannys
break a heel and want to collect for pain and suffering. 3 vehicles
trashed

The driver CLAIMS your product had something to do with it.
Doesn't matter if it DID or not, he CLAIMS it did. Anything - that it
broke, that it broke the hitch, that it added sway from weight
misplacement, that the bike fell off, that if fucked up the steering -
on and on.

Ford Motor Company swears to it. So does Dunlop. They have
10 lawyers and 17 experts with PH D's SWEARING it wasn't their vehicle
or their tires, it was YOUR little home-shop welded thingy, the one
with no independent engineering stamp, no testing, no DOT approval,
etc.

The insurance company says 'Sorry, that's not covered under
the driver's policy, he should have known it was an unapproved and
unsafe device'.

So, they say 'It's not our fault, so we're not liable for that
$ 10,000,000 verdict, the guys that made and sold the rack are !'.

Now it's your turn to talk. I suggest you start out with
something like 'Your Honor', or 'May it please the court'.

What do you have to say next ?

That may/may not help for the person that purchased the hauler... but
the guy who hit the bike that fell off the hauler didn't sign
anything...

friends, etc. maybe with just the waiver. But when you open it up the
the internet, you better be insured and be very sure of your product.
