Dude, it's a 610. I don't think I have to worry about them following
me *all* the way home <G>

Nah, sticky rubber and a good motor is all that's really needed.

Honestly though, I don't garner as much attention as I used to when I
was younger and on a true sportbike. There were a lot less women
riding serious machinery then, too, so I sorta stood out amongst the
crowd. Now I'm just another female on a bike in an area of the country
that probably has more female riders than anywhere else.

I become World Champion...Forever. It says so right on the sticker on
the rear fender.

Why, as a matter of fact, I am.

Ok, I will. Just as soon as I break in my motor.

Well, Jay, it's kinda like motor oil and religion; everyone has their
own opinions of what works. Eric has broken in numerous new motors by
being nice and letting the rings seat and all that stuff, and he has
had nothing but success with his method. I have done the same thing
with many motors myself and have had no issues whatsoever. It is
interesting to note that my dealer, Dan from MotoXotica and George
from Uptite Racing all say that breaking in the 610 motor gently is a
very good idea as far as longevity and reliability goes. I think I'm
gonna go with their suggestions instead of yours. No hard feelings or
anything, ok? <G>

LOL! This is *not* the grocery-getter, although I did ride it 30 miles
yesterday to get some oil for its first oil change today<G>

Riiight...you wish! I was just remembering your ignorant and ill-
informed comments about the "new" supermoto craze. You *know* you want
one, Jay. You're just afraid!

Thanks! I think so, too.

Well, yes, it would! I wanted to ride it to work today but it was way
too windy. I would have had a hard time going over the bridge into San
Francisco. As it was, it was pretty sketchy on my SV and it is lower
and weighs a lot more. I might ride it tomorrow if the wind dies down.

Get rid of that ugly seat cover and you'll be set!

You may already know about these folks. SuperMotoJunkies
http :// www .supermotojunkie,com /index.php
If not. There is a wealth of information to be searched from the
archives about all things SuMo Husky. Quirks, how-to's etc...
Enjoy your new toy.

Nooo! La-La-La I'm not listening! I'm not gonna look! I don't *need* a
Leo Vince!
I don't *need* carbon fiber this and titanium that! Cut it out, Jeff!
I could use some axle sliders, though...

Yeah...I know. I'm staying away from it. I *already* have the urge to
do trackdays, all I need (like another hole in my head...) is more
encouragement from those guys!

> Quirks,

Quirks? Whaddaya mean "quirks?" Like when the neutral light comes on
regardless of what gear you're in? (there's 6, BTW) You mean stuff
like that?

> how-to's etc...

Oh. You mean like how to back it in heading into the carousel at Sears
Point? Well, maybe I *will* check it out <G>

I'm just kidding, everyone! I can hear it now..."Oh great, now she's
*really* gonna hurt herself..."

Oh, I plan on it!

LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking! I wonder where I can get one
of those neat-o blue ones? You know, like the ones that came on the
older XR's? Keep your eyes open for me, `kay?

Will do! You know, I do have a red seat that's cut down a couple of
inches. I'd be willing to trade you bikes since the ground is closer
on mine. Just 'cause I'm such a good friend and all. Mine only has 40
miles on the motor and isn't all worn out like yours.

Think it over.

I don't know, Tami. That photo of you in the leathers standing next
to the bike looks perfectly color co-ordinated. I don't think I'd
change a thing.

Damnit! Now, I really want a super motard bike.

Don't worry, we're just funnin' ya. Craig's mad at me for telling him
his cool XR only needed a new seat cover and he'd be good to go. He's
just getting back at me, but it's only because he loves me <G>

>
> Damnit!  Now, I really want a super motard bike.

It is a glorious piece of machinery. I can see how dirt-only riders
would think it was stupid, but the riders on $10000+ sportbikes don't
exactly see it that way when they get smoked in the twisties by one.
For me it is the best of both worlds. I can't physically ride a
sportbike anymore, and I have no interest in doing triple digit speeds
on the street anymore, but there is very little in this world more
satisfying than the rythmic flow of a finely tuned machine on sticky
rubber slipping through the twisties. The fact that I can do it on a
very powerful 300# machine with fantastic brakes and superb handling
brings a huge smile to my face. And isn't that why we ride these
things in the first place?
