Now, for it to be brazing, does a certain amount of alloying have to
occur between the base metal and the filler?
I've heard it both ways.

If you want stupid... find some stuffy old sailor and get into it over
the difference between rope and line... :)

Jane... you ignorant slut. Rope is what you buy on a spool at the
store. Once you cut it and give it a job by attaching it to a dinner
bell or anchor it magically becomes line... :)
