Setting the record straight

Setting the record straight

Hi all,

I thought it best set the record straight, for at this time adding my own
thread to some original post in rec.travel.cruise will only add fuel to the
fire. People such a Phil, Goldenberg and Leppla delight in stripping out the
fact in select information from others, selecting only what they want, then
spinning the information into totally bogus statements. Some people are
indeed correct in calling Phil an asshole. In addition, he is a total idiot
and hypocrite. Even though Phil is responding to the original press release
in this post, he is now trying to include a variety of other subjects in
this thread as well.

Phil is right in once sense, the cruise lines do allow slight modifications
to their press releases to travel agents for advertising purposes. However,
this newsgroups does not allow advertising, as both Goldenberg and Ray
constantly point out, hence any press release circulated on this newsgroup
is to remain as originally presented and without modification, or it is
indeed considered advertising - and against the Charter. Apparently,
Godlenberg and Ray want it both ways.

Likewise, Phil delights in claiming I posted copyrighted material, than lied
about it. This no-doubt originally came about from Leppla trying to stir the
pot when I presented my "When on a cruise..." series. Leppla and Phil are as
close as two peas in a pod. Yet, included in my series is copy as to what is
and what is not allowed, and in spite of my using select background material
for reference only in my rewriting of most of the information, the following
disclaimer should even educate Phil... "For reference, and with the
exception of specific Wikipedia requirements, I've included the source
material as the basic for information for this series, and yet, is still in
connection with the "fair use" exemption to copyright law, which was created
to allow things such as commentary, parody, news reporting, research and
education about copyrighted works without the permission of the author.
Furthermore, the license Wikipedia uses grants free access to their content
in the same sense as free software is licensed freely." Apparently, Phil
still just doesn't get it, hence no-doubt the lies he accuses me of.

Phil constantly says... "I sit here and support his use of sig files and
still do to this day." Yet, in the same breath, he constantly changes and
re-circulated my signature files to the following...

Happy sailing...
John Sisker - SHITO-SHORE CRUISE AGENCY (sm)
(714) 536-0000 or toll-free at (800) 724-0000 & (Agency ID: 714.536.0000)

... instead of its intended and copyrighted format of...

Happy sailing...
John Sisker - SHIP-TO-SHORE CRUISE AGENCY (sm)
(714) 536-3850 or toll-free at (800) 724-6644 & (Agency ID: 714.536.3850)
www .shiptoshorecruise,com

Now, isn't Phil just a hypocrite and in total contraction of own words,
possibly himself truly violating copyright laws with a libelous written
remark?

Phil even admits that told other that if they find problems with my posts
to file a complaint with my ISP, yet he had a problem when I referred to
this as his trying sanction my information. Of course, I don't think he
would be any happier of I had used the word 'injunction' instead, for
whether sanction or injunction, all he is trying to do is stir the pot with
bogus claims and lame excuses.

I hope this information helps set the record straight.

Sincerely,
John Sisker

If your issue is with people in rec.travel.cruising then why have you
spammed rec.travel.caribbean with it? It makes no sense. Do you also buy
merchandise at Nordstrom and, if defective, do you then attempt a return
of same goods to Macy's? Where is the logic?

You can't expect someone as dumb as Sisker to make. When has he ever?
He is a parody of a travel agent. He has the ethics of a skunk. The
folks here can use a few giggles from his spam.

I can see that Charles is trolling this newsgroups as he is
rec.travel.cruise, but at least Brian K. made some sense in his response.
Yet, again, mission accomplished.
